Motorists are being urged to avoid the Western Freeway between Melton and Bacchus Marsh after a collision caused a truck to rollover near Hopetoun Park Road earlier today.
The outbound lanes of the freeway remain closed as Victoria Police work to control the area.
VicRoads is suggesting motorists use the Old Western Highway as an alternate route for the time being.
The incident follows a separate collision on the Western Freeway earlier today, which included six vehicles and caused lane closures between the M80 Ring Road and Robinsons Road.
Around 11.50am, an individual was freed from one of the six vehicles and has since been transported to hospital.
The outbound lanes at this section of the freeway have since been reopened.
