Bulla scores second win of the season

Diggers Rest Bulla had its second win of the season in the Gisborne and District Cricket Association McIntyre Cup season, defeating Wallan on Saturday.

The Burras batted first, were bowled out for 116 in 43 overs.

Chris Vecchie was the best of the bowlers for the Magpies taking three wickets.

Wallan were bowled out for 108 in reply. Marcus Ciunik was the pick of the bowlers for the Burras, taking four wickets.

They sit eighth on the ladder.

The Burras are set to play Sunbury Kangaroos on Saturday at Eric Boardman Oval.

Meanwhile, Bacchus Marsh have stayed in the top five on the ladder after defeating Woodend on Saturday.

Bacchus Marsh batted first, making 9-184 off its 45 overs.

Tom Robson was the best of the Woodend bowlers, taking three wickets.

Woodend fell short, making just 54.

The pick of the bowlers for Bacchus Marsh was Rhys Watson who took four wickets.

Bacchus Marsh are expected to play Gisborne on Saturday at Maddingley Park.
