Melton council will hold its first meeting of 2022 this evening which will be available for residents to watch via live stream.
The meeting will also be the first for chief executive Roslyn Wai who was appointed in December 2021.
On the agenda includes four planning applications, including developments of land for double-storey dwellings in Melton South and a multi-lot commercial subdivision in Truganina.
It will be recommended by council officers that council refuse to grant a permit relating to the use of an existing dwelling in Caroline Springs as a restricted place of assembly and car parking for the Hazara Solidarity Community of Western Melbourne Inc.
A request will be made for council to make a final decision on the proposed road discontinuance for part of Murray Road in Thornhill Park.
Council resolved at a previous meeting that the road is no longer reasonably required for general public use.
The meeting will be held via video conference and commence at 7pm.
