Melton has recorded 764 new cases today, making the total of active cases 4883.
Meanwhile, Moorabool reported 93 new cases today, bringing the shire’s total active cases to 479.
This comes as new pandemic orders came into effect last night.
Workers in key sectors who are already required to be fully vaccinated must get their third dose before being permitted to work onsite.
These sectors include healthcare, aged care, disability, emergency services, correctional facilities, quarantine accommodation and food distribution workers. Workplaces must sight and record proof of vaccination.
