A new school in Melton has reached completion and will be ready for students to start the school year in 2022.
Strathtulloh Primary School is part of the state government’s delivery of 100 new schools to Victoria between 2019 and 2026 which was allocated $438.6 million in funding.
The school will have an administration building, which includes a library, art, food and science learning spaces, a performing arts and physical education building, two learning neighbourhoods, two outdoor hardcourts, a sports field, a bike shed and playgrounds.
Melton MP Steve McGhie said: “Melton families deserve to have access to a great local school, and we are delivering that with Strathtulloh Primary School to ensure children receive a world-class education close to home.”
As part of the construction of schools, every new primary school being built will have a kindergarten on-site or next door, to reduce the burden on parents and carers.
