A colourful ‘sugar rush’ is coming to Woodlea estate next month for Melton, Moorabool and surrounding residents to enjoy.
For the first time in over two years, the Melbourne interactive exhibit Bloomville by Sugar Republic will be transported to the estate.
The exhibit is a range of colourfully painted and decorated shipping containers, each one with a different theme and interactive art, as well as other activities.
Bloomville will seek to raise funds for some local charities, while providing Woodlea residents and visitors with some much needed colour and fun, especially after the last two years.
Woodlea project director Matthew Dean said the activation is the perfect way to kick off 2022 and looks forward to seeing the joy it brings residents and visitors.
“It’s been a difficult past few years with most of our events at Woodlea being cancelled or postponed,” Mr Dean said.
“These are events that not only Woodlea residents, but Melbourne’s west look forward to each year, so being able to bring Sugar Republic to Woodlea is a really exciting milestone; to give back to charities in the process is just the cherry on top.”
Sugar Republic director Allison Jones said she is beyond thrilled to be open again in Melbourne after two years.
“When Woodlea approached us to create a pop-up with them to celebrate the new year, I jumped at the chance,” she said.
A dog-friendly day will also be included during the festival.
Bloomville will open from January 15 and is located at Woodlea Town. Ticket prices start from $5, with ticket holders able to choose their charity of choice.
