Recent string of car fires in west

Five people have been arrested over a series of car fires in the west last week,

Police attended the fires in Darley, Bonshaw, Spargo Creek, Nerrina and Raglan.

In a post on the Eyewatch- Moorabool police service area Facebook page, police said car fires have the potential to quickly turn into bushfires depending on weather conditions.

“We are asking the community to be on the lookout for suspicious activity in your area,” the post read.

Residents are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 if they witness anything suspicious.
