Moorabool council has outlined premises where only those with proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be allowed to enter.

In a statement posted to the Moorabool Shire Council Facebook page, the council stated eight sites where, in line with the state government’s roadmap to deliver the national plan for COVID-19 recovery, they will be required to ensure that only patrons who are fully vaccinated enter.

The sites include Bacchus Marsh Depot, Ballan Depot, Lerderderg Library, Ballan Library, Darley Early Years Hub, Ballan Pool, Bacchus Marsh Pool, and Bacchus Marsh Leisure Centre.

“The health of our community is really important to us and we also require customers to show their proof of vaccination when entering [the] Customer Service Centre in Darley and Ballan,” the statement said.

“Upon entering our Council services, it’s important that you wear a mask (unless exempt); check in with the QR code provided; and show proof of your COVID-19 vaccination status (digital or hard copy) or medical exemption.

“Remember to be kind during this time, we are all doing our best to follow the rules and stay safe.”
