Police seek hit-run help over Old Western Highway crash

Moorabool police are appealing for witnesses to a hit-and-run last Monday.

Leading Senior Constable John Volf, of the Moorabool highway patrol, said police want to speak to anyone who saw a minor collision between two cars about 3.30pm on Monday, November 10.

Leading Senior Constable Volf said one of the drivers left the scene without exchanging details.

He said a blue Honda sedan was travelling east towards Melton along Old Western Highway near Flanagans Lane.

A light blue Ford sedan with a male driver had come from the Western Freeway off-ramp and hit the off-side rear of the Honda.

The accident caused moderate damage.

The Ford driver did not stop but then drove north along Flanagans Lane.

“The victim was able to get only the first letter of the offending vehicle rego, which was a W,” Leading Senior Constable Volf said.

“Given the time of day, there may have been other motorists around so any information would be great.”
