Police are seeking witnesses to a Myrniong crash on Monday.
A black Honda heading east along the Western Freeway about 10.40am was extensively damaged after it hit a bale of hay in the middle lane.
Police said after the crash, the Sebastopol woman driver pulled into the emergency lane and saw a white one-tonne ute loaded with hay stopped ahead of her.
But when she went to talk to the ute driver, he drove off.
