These Melton employees will step it up for Steptember.

Melton-based law firm Callea Pearce will take part in this year’s Steptember fundraiser for the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, in a bid to raise money for the organisation and awareness of cerebral palsy.

Office manager Bianca Parslow said although none of the employees knew of anyone affected by the disorder, the fundraiser was a way to do something positive for the community.

“We heard about [Steptember] on the radio and we thought it was a great opportunity to raise funds and do something as a team,” Ms Parslow said.

“When you see children affected with cerebral palsy … it makes us think how lucky we’ve got it.

“If we challenge ourselves to do 10,000 steps, it’s nothing compared to what these children have to go through.”

As part of Steptember, participants are encouraged to take 10,000 steps throughout the month.
