Woman dies following Ravenhall collision

A Melton South woman died in hospital on Monday, following a collision in Ravenhall at the weekend.

Police say the 31-year-old woman stopped her car on the left lane of the Western Ring Road and was hit by another car travelling on the freeway about 5.30am on Saturday, August 4.

The woman was taken to hospital, where she died on Monday.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 28-year-old Brookfield man, was also taken to hospital for observation.

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating. The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined.
