Karellyn Dangar and Krystyna Valente love putting a whole lot of “fun” into their fundraising.

They are part of the Jesters Rod and Custom Club, which will host a rock ’n’ roll dance next month in Bacchus Marsh to raise money for Camp Quality.

Event organiser Jill Peterson said the club was enthusiastic about supporting Camp Quality, a children’s family cancer charity.

“We’re trying to do something different this time,” Ms Peterson said.

“We hold monthly show ’n’ shine cruises during the daylight saving months and we thought we’d change it up this time. It’s just a bit of fun.”

She said the car club raised more than $5000 for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal this year.

Ms Peterson hoped that the July 28
rock ’n’ roll dance would resonate with people of all generations.

“We’ve got a lot of younger members and they know nothing of rock’n’roll, but they will learn. The 1950s and ’60s eras fit well with the car culture.”

Tickets cost $15 pre-booked or $20 at the door. Information: bit.ly/2tgSnee
