Lovers of the sweet life can make a beeline to Diggers Rest for the annual Beekeeping and Honey Festival next month. The festival, organised by J Beekeeping School, showcases the tastes, sights and smells of a variety of honey products, including meads, liqueurs and candles. Melton beekeeper Stan Starc, pictured, said the festival was popular with young and old alike. “I’m a hobbyist and I hope to see many more at the festival,” Mr Starc said. The festival will be held on Sunday, March 4, from 10am to 4pm, at Jadran Social Club, 35 Duncans Lane, Diggers Rest. Entry is $3; children under 15 are admiited free. Information: bit.ly/2GU8gw5
