Melton is once again playing a role in Australia’s largest and longest-running Christmas gift appeal.

Kmart Melton’s Wishing Tree Appeal was launched at Woodgrove Shopping Centre last week.

Guests included the West Melton Primary School choir, Santa and members of the Salvation Army.

The appeal helps children, adults, seniors and families who are unable to afford gifts at Christmas and beyond. It has collected more than eight million gifts in the past 29 years.

Anyone can give to the appeal – gifts do not need to be purchased at Kmart and they do not need to be wrapped.
