Detectives are appealing for assistance following a smash and grab at a Harkness supermarket this morning.
Melton Crime Investigation Unit said three men in two vehicles arrived the Claret Ash Boulevard premises about 4.45am.
One of the vehicles was used to remove the front doors.
A number of cigarette trays were taken from the scene.
Police later saw the two vehicles on Bulmans Road.
A brief pursuit along Minns Road and Ryans Lane on to Melton Highway was ended for safety reasons, police said.
The vehicles were last seen near the intersection of Plumpton Road.
Police released CCTV footage of three men who they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
The two cars are described as a dark-coloured Ford Ranger and a silver Mazda sedan.
