Bus service revamp lifts train links

Caroline Springs public transport passengers now have extra bus services to use.

Upgraded bus services will link the town centre with Albion and Sunshine stations via the new route 426 bus service and changes to the route 215, 420, 456, 461 and 462 services.

Kororoit MP Marlene Kairouz said that from November 26, residents would be offered more frequent connections to Sunbury line trains including 10 extra peak services per week.

“We’re boosting bus and train services in Caroline Springs to get locals to work, school or wherever they want to go,” she said.

“We’re delivering more trains, more often to get local passengers in and out of the city, and more buses to get you to and from the station.”

Route 426 connects the Caroline Springs town centre with Albion and Sunshine stations and improves public transport access for Burnside residents by using the new Westwood Drive Bridge across Kororoit Creek.

The 456 bus service will operate via Rockbank Middle Road and Neale Road throughout the week, making buses more accessible for residents in Caroline Springs.

Updated timetables will be available on www.ptv.vic.gov.au.
