Story time

Cafe Craft and Caffeine, located at 16a Herbert Avenue, Hoppers Crossing, hosts story time every Thursday and Friday at 10.30am. Young ones can enjoy free nursery rhymes, books and crafts while mum and dad relax and have coffee. Each week is a different book with matching craft.

Free Senior Driver Safety Expo

The next Senior Drivers Expo will be held on August 19 at Penrose Promenade Community Centre, 83 Penrose Promenade, Tarneit. RoadSafe Westgate Community Road Safety Council will provide information about road laws, health and effects on medicines. Participants get a free and confidential driving assessment in their own car and an assessment of their car’s safety and roadworthiness. A free light lunch is provided. There is a 9.45am start, limited places with bookings essential.

Community grants available

Not-for-profit groups are being invited to apply for financial grants of up to $1000 from the Dennis Family Corporation through the 2017 Manor Lakes Community Fund. Applications close on August 14 at 5pm.

Enjoy free, 45-minute fitness sessions at the Wyndham Park Primary Community Hub, 77 Kookaburra Avenue, Werribee. There’s Fitclub on Tuesday evenings and Friday mornings and Boxfit on Sunday mornings.

The classes are run in a positive, supportive and family-friendly environment and are suitable for all levels of fitness.
