Bacchus Marsh Lions Club is asking people to lend a hand and help raise money for this year’s Good Friday appeal.
The club is looking for volunteers to rattle tins, collect donations and set a new record in the lead-up to Good Friday on April 14.
Bacchus Marsh locals raised more than $32,000 for the Good Friday appeal last year, and club president Mark Robson is hoping to top that next month.
“We are offering you the opportunity to be one of our enthusiastic supporters and help set a new record in 2017,” Mr Robson said.
“If you have spare time, either in the days leading up to Good Friday or on the day itself, please donate that time and assist in raising funds.”
Lions Club volunteers will be at the Bacchus Marsh fire station from 9am on April 14. But there will be plenty of opportunities to donate before then, Mr Robson said.
There will be Good Friday appeal purple donation cans at local businesses and, closer to the date, volunteers will be rattling tins outside shops.
