Bacchus Marsh ‘battler’ wins life lotto

A Bacchus Marsh battler who’s been to “hell and back” says she’ll no longer have to struggle after being ‘set for life’.

The woman, in her 40s, screamed with delight when Tatts phoned her last week to tell her she won first prize in the Set for Life draw and would be receiving $20,000 each month for 20 years.

“Oh my god! Oh my god! We’ve been struggling for so long,” she said.

“That’s the most amazing thing. I’m pacing around the place, I can’t stand still.

“We’ve had nothing in life and we’ve been to hell and back. Now I feel like the luckiest woman in the world.”

She says she’ll be taking her family on their dream holiday to the North Pole to see Santa at the Santa Claus Village in Finland, and has plans to retire to spend more time with her family.

And there finally might be a house on the horizon.

The winner purchased her winning entry from Woodgrove Lotto. Owner Angela Critelli said she was thrilled to know their outlet had sold the winning entry.

“This is great news for our lucky customer,” Ms Critelli said. “It’s fantastic to be part of one of our customer’s dreams.”

The winning numbers were 16, 5, 13, 8, 15, 17, 11 and 30, with the bonus numbers 20 and 35.
