Xavier and Dakota had a ball carting each other around … the St Dominic’s Primary School prep pupils – and 44 of their classmates – have been hard at work building nine billy carts, under some wise counsel from grandparent helper Russell Pettis, as part of their lessons on ‘movement’.

Prep teacher Jessica O’Connor said Bunnings Melton donated money to purchase the parts needed for the billy carts, which will be raffled to raise funds for St Vincent’s Christmas appeal.

Ms O’Connor said the pupils learned about working in a team, and all about how things move.

“And now they can play with the billy carts in discovery time,” she said.
