Love will be in the air at Bacchus Marsh when Australian pop duo Microwave Jenny come to town later this month.
The band comprises husband and wife musical talents Brendon and Tessa Boney, who will be playing at Bacchus Marsh’s Baby Black Cafe on their Australian tour.
The Sydney-based duo will perform songs from their new EP Microwave Jenny & The Six Song EP.
Brendon says they are both keen to perform live for their many fans in the area.
“We’ve got a lot of fans along that way so it made sense for us to get down there and give them a chance to see us play.”
Brendon says fans can expect a good time and to see a “full spectrum” of Microwave Jenny’s sounds from over the years.
And there will be one main message: love, something the duo hope to spread along their tour. Brendon called on their fans to bring a loved one and experience a good date night.
Brendon says their EP was made possible by the fans who supported their Pozible crowd- funding campaign. Within three days of launching the campaign, the duo had smashed their $10,000 target and raised $15,000.
“It cost a lot to get into the studio,” Tessa said. “We’re really excited to get back on the road and play all the new songs.”
Microwave Jenny’s show at Baby Black Café on April 18 will include special guest drummer Tegan Wiseman.
