A small-business festival planned for Melton is aimed at putting the municipality on the map and showcasing the “great things” local businesses are achieving.

Melton council will host the annual ‘Mastering the Transition: Growing Your Business and Taking it to the Next Level’ as part of the Victorian Small Business Festival at the Western BACE on Ferris Road, Melton South, this Thursday.

The event will be packed with workshops, presentations and networking opportunities “that are worthwhile for all to attend”, Western BACE chief executive Mark Corrie said.

“As part of the day, Marketing Entourage will facilitate a session on perfecting an ‘elevator pitch’, and those attending will have the chance to win a professional marketing pitch video from Western BACE’s own SPB Creative Media,” Mr Corrie said.

“The day is also an important showcase of the Western BACE and all the great things the businesses here are achieving.

“I encourage as many people as possible to attend and more like-minded, motivated business owners to join us.”

Presenters of information on ‘ways to grow your business’ will include Yellow Brick Road, Chocoholic Tours, SPB Creative Media and Marketing Entourage.

The event is at 222 Ferris Road from 9.30am-2pm, Thursday. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at goo.gl/kuztwt.
