Girls work it out

Girls with Attitude is a program for teenagers aged 13-17 who are struggling with relationships and friendships. Free make-up and pamper workshops are included. The program runs for the next two weeks, from 9am-3pm on May 14 and 21. Booking is required.

Singing for fun

Everyone is welcome to join a free singalong and social group at Melton South Community Centre. Melton Melody Makers meet every Tuesday at 10am. Singing ability isn’t an issue; the group is all about fun and wellbeing. Bring a plate to share.

Neighbourhood House Week

Free activities will be held at neighbourhood houses across the city as part of Neighbourhood House Week celebrations. Activities run until Sunday, May 17, at the Djerriwarrh Community House, Hillside and Melton South community centres, Stevenson House and the Taylors Hill Neighbourhood House.

Tacling mental wellbeing

People suffering with any type of mental health issues who feel they could use some support are invited to attend weekly sessions at the new Melton South Community Centre, 41 Exford Road, Mondays at 10am for women and Mondays at 7pm for men. While it can be hard to make that first move, this group is non-judgemental and operates in a friendly environment overseen by friendly professionals working on a voluntary basis.

The Melton Environment Group will go on a bird-watch walk at Brookfield this month. Meet at 9am on Sunday, May 24, at Arnolds Creek, Black Dog Drive, Melton South.
