Car crashes into Melton house bedroom

A man is expected to be charged after his car crashed into a Melton house over the weekend.

Police, State Emergency Services and paramedics attended after receiving reports a car crashed into the front bedroom of a house in Milverton Street, about 11am on Sunday.

Nobody was home at the time.

Victoria Police spokeswoman Amelia Penhall said it was believed the driver had failed to take a turn on Roscrea Road, which turns into Milverton Street.

Ms Penhall said the driver received minor injuries and was treated at the scene by paramedics.

He was interviewed by police and is expected to be charged on summons.
