The circus is in town

Silvers Circus is Coming to Rotary Club, Bacchus Marsh from next Wednesday, May 11 to Sunday, May 15. The two-hour, animal-free, action packed show features Ringmaster and Master of Illusion, Simon Tait includes and incredible acts including the Tight Wire, Globe of Death motorcycle act and the Roman Rings.

Kite-making workshops for the youngsters – and those young at heart – will run on Saturday, May 7, from 10.30am at the Melton library, 31 McKenzie Street, and from 2pm at the Caroline Springs library, 193 Caroline Springs Boulevard.

Police and firefighters will present at a community safety forum from 11am-1pm on Saturday, May 21, at the Woodlea Community Hub, Woodlea Boulevard, Rockbank.

Donna Williams, diagnosed with autism in her late 20s, will give a special presentation, Walking in Autistic Shoes, on Tuesday, May 24, from 5-6.30pm at Tabcorp Park, 2 Ferris Road, Melton South.

Garden tour and tea

A guided tour of the Melton Botanic Garden followed by morning tea will run from 10-11.30am on Friday, June 3. Meet at the corner of Tullidge and Williams streets, Melton.

A wellbeing program for children aged eight to 12 to teach them about mindfulness techniques will run from 1-2pm on Saturday, May 28, at the Hillside Community Centre, Royal Crescent.

Art on show

Bacchus Marsh Rotary Art Show’s opening night will run from 7pm on Friday, June 10, with the show continuing throughout the Queen’s Birthday weekend at the Bacchus Marsh Public Hall, Main Street. Open 10am-5pm on Saturday and Sunday and 10am-4pm on Monday.
