Hunt for Easter bonanza

Bacchus Marsh youngsters will be hunting high and low for chocolate this Friday at EasterFest.

The free community festival, run by a small group of mums, will run from 9am at Maddingley Park and is aimed at raising funds for the Bacchus Marsh and Melton Regional Hospital.

Organiser Amy Hasse says the event has become a popular tradition.

“It runs every Good Friday, bringing together people from Bacchus Marsh and surrounding towns for a day of fun and family time,” she says. “And for those who love markets, we’ll have up to 60 stalls.”

Easter egg hunts, for children aged one to 13, will be the main feature of the festivities along with rides and other entertainment.

“The team at Bacchus Marsh EasterFest likes to include local community groups and sports clubs to showcase what the area has to offer,” Ms Hasse says.

“We also want the community to help us raise some much-needed funds for our local hospital.”

Bacchus Marsh EasterFest is a free-entry festival but with fees for hunts and rides/amusements.

Tickets cost $15 per child per hunt ($20 on the day). Book online at www.ticketebo.com.au/bmef
