The North Western Titans are through to the Geelong Baseball Association B-reserve grand final.
The Titans entered the finals as favourites, having claimed the minor premiership.
They lived up to expectations with a 7-3 win against Corio on Saturday at Macpherson Park.
Danny Haymes got the Titans on the board in the opening innings.
A poor third innings by the Titans kept Corio in the game, scoring three runs, but the Titans responded.
Kyle Newman led the way on the mound and was backed up by Ryan Tompkins, who also scored a home run.
Speaking before the match, Titans president Danny Haymes said it was exciting for the club.
It’s the first time they’ve entered a team in the Geelong competition.
“We’re more than happy, we’re stoked,” he said. “It’s been three years since we’ve made finals and since then there has been a massive change of culture and it’s been really good.
“We go into every game confident and knowing if we execute our game plan, we can get it done.
“We’ve really focused.”

The Titans started the season in a lower grade before being promoted.
Haymes said they had been told they would have been competitive in an even higher grade competition.
The Titans will now have the weekend off before the grand final.
The grand final will be played in Geelong.
Haymes said they hoped the development they had made in the winter season would benefit both their men’s and women’s teams come the summer season.
