Bacchus Marsh has locked in playing coach Tom German for another season in the Ballarat Football League.

The club announced on social media on Wednesday that German had re-signed for the 2023 season.

“Despite challenging times due to countless COVID interruptions in the past few years, Tom has maintained an extremely high standard of professionalism in his approach to both training and games,” the post said.

“As a club, we could not be prouder of the way Tom conducts himself publicly, as well as internally driving the standards of the senior playing group to enable us to progress on-field.

“While this season is just getting going, we believe in the direction Tom wants to take our senior group moving forward and could not be happier to keep Tom and his family around our club.”

German has been at the Cobras since late 2019 when he replaced Pete Davey.

After no action in 2020 due to COVID-19, German had the Cobras sitting seventh when the season was cut short last year.

The Cobras have started this season 2-1. This week they face Redan in Ballarat.
