It’s been a long time in the making, but business adviser Ian Ash has published his first ever book, and it’s certainly been worth the wait.

An all encompassing guide on how to make the most of a small business, ‘From Passion to Profit’ is a captivating read that helps business owners realise their full potential and ultimately, achieve success.

Having spent the past seven to eight years pouring his wealth of business experience and knowledge into the book, Mr Ash said that he was thrilled to now share it with the world.

“I’m delighted with the way it’s turned out,” Mr Ash said.

“Personally, I don’t think there’s another book quite like it, because I don’t focus on just one single area of business… it’s not about sales, it’s not about marketing, it’s not about finance, it’s not about strategy – it’s really intended to be like your own personal business adviser in your pocket.”

Being the head of his own recruitment business and having worked as a business coach for many years, Mr Ash said he was inspired to write this book after coming across many common problems with clients.

“When I started my business, I thought to myself, what can I teach people who have been running their own businesses for 15, 20, 25 years? How could I possibly help them?” he explained.

“What I found was that people start businesses because they’re good at something, not because they’re good at business.”

“They have a passion for something, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are going to be able to run it as an effective business,” he said.

Seeing the many businesses he worked with have “key things missing”, Mr Ash noticed a gap in the market – and so his book, ‘From Passion to Profit’ was born.

“So I’ve developed a whole range of tools, templates and techniques and I use those to help businesses get great results with as little effort as possible and fundamentally, my passion is to see those business leaders succeed not just in their business, but also their personal lives,” Mr Ash said.

“Because then, they start to be able to pursue their hobbies, rebuild relationships, get to see their kids grow up – that’s why I do what I do and that was a key driver for me writing the book in the first place.”

As well as key tips and tricks for running a successful business, Mr Ash’s new book is filled with anecdotes and personal experiences, and a range of diagrams and templates for readers to visualise important information.

Mr Ash said he was very proud of his first book, and he hoped it would go on to help many budding entrepreneurs in the near future.

‘From Passion to Profit’ is available for purchase on Kinder and Amazon.
