Kurunjang man arrested after alleged stabbing

A Kurunjang man has been arrested after an alleged stabbing in Melton in the early hours of Friday morning.

Police responded to reports of a fight involving three men on High Street about 1.15am.

One of the men allegedly produced a knife and stabbed another, with a 41-year-old Melton man taken to hospital with non-fatal injuries.

Police arrested a 21-year-old man in Kurunjang shortly after, but the third individual involved is yet to be found by police after he fled the scene.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident but believe the three men were known to each other.
