Potential for change: 29 Falcon Drive, Melton, 3337

On a corner block of about 575 square metres, this is a place young families or even investors will be eyeing off.

It’s in a great spot, with Kurunjang Secondary and Heathdale Christian colleges, as well as Melton Waves, within a 10-minute walk and Indian and Chinese takeaways are just down the road.

Entry is via a screened porch, beyond which is a beige-carpeted lounge room with a stylish Tasmanian oak highlight wall with downlit bulkhead; latte drapes and lace dress windows.

The adjoining meals zone has cypress pine floorboards, as does the kitchen which has ample storage, powder-blue laminate benches, a gas upright cooker and dishwasher. The laundry is next door.

A floorboarded hallway from the meals area leads to the three bedrooms, the original main bathroom and separate
toilet. One bedroom has mirrored robes
and ceiling fan, while the main has
the same Tasmanian oak highlight wall
as the lounge room, as well as a mirrored robe.

Ducted heating and an air-conditioner keep things seasonally comfortable.

The meals area opens to a gabled pergola running along the front. This is a private spot and has a barbecue and sink, a water feature and tropical plantings.

Step down from the pergola to a lawn area and a vegie garden which can be bucket watered from a well. Under the dappled shade of a nectarine is a pretty spot to set up seating.

There are two sheds, and a drive-through garage is accessed from the side street. The backyard, taken up with shedding slated for removal, promises to be a good space to complete a personal project.
