McIntyre Cup: Bacchus Marsh eliminated

BACCHUS Marsh had no answer for Riddell’s batting firepower as the Bombers eliminated the Bulls from the McIntyre Cup on Sunday.

Riddell posted 8-249 on Saturday off its 80 overs before striking early to reduce Bacchus Marsh to 4-37.

Justin MacDonald provided some resistance with 48, but his wicket was the second in a collapse of 5-29 that ended the Bacchus Marsh innings on 133 all out.

The Bulls will still contest the B grade final, after chasing down Sunbury United’s 193 by making 5-195 in reply.

Bacchus Marsh plays Sunbury at Clarke Oval this weekend.
